Bust of a man wearing armour
Bust of a man wearing armour
Marble of Carrara
Originally located on the balaustrade close to the Casino dei Principi, this modern marble bust can be attributed to the school of Cavaceppi for stylistic and technical reasons (tiny drilled holes).
The figure wears scaled armour over a tunic and a paludamentum, which is fastened on the right shoulder by a round leather stud.
Provenance:
Near the Casino dei Principi of Villa Torlonia
