Library of the Applied Arts
The Library of the Applied Arts is part of the museum of the House of the Owls.
It opened to the public in 1998 and, although it is part of the museum collection, it is accessed by a separate entrance.
It currently contains about 1400 volumes on the applied arts (fragile, solid, plastic and superficial arts) with specialized sections the gardens and historical parks and guides to the neighbourhoods of Rome.
It is used primarily by university students who are undertaking research into the Villa Torlonia and its buildings and stained glass, but those doing research into artistic techniques and the decorative arts.
The library has only three study stations. Loans and photocopying are not possible.
